Air Transat launches weekly non-stop flights from Montréal (YUL) to Agadir (AGA) starting June 12, 2026. The Airbus A321LR service runs every Friday through October 23 — bookings are open now.
Air Transat, named the World's Best Leisure Airline in 2025 by Skytrax, is launching a new non-stop service between Montréal (YUL) and Agadir (AGA) for summer 2026 — becoming the only North American carrier offering direct flights to Agadir.

- Route: Montréal–Trudeau (YUL) → Agadir–Al Massira (AGA)
- Launch date: June 12, 2026
- Frequency: Every Friday
- Operating period: June 12, 2026 → October 23, 2026

Why This Route Matters
Agadir is Morocco's premier beach destination — a 10 km stretch of Atlantic coastline with year-round sunshine, resort hotels, and a restored kasbah overlooking the city. The route serves two main audiences:
- Leisure travellers from Quebec and Eastern Canada seeking a direct sun destination
- Moroccan diaspora in Quebec visiting family and friends in the Souss-Massa region
"This new service comes in response to strong demand from leisure travellers and the Moroccan community in Quebec," said Sebastian Ponce, Chief Revenue Officer at Transat. "Morocco is more popular than ever — for its landscapes, its rich culture, and the diaspora ties that unite our two regions."
The Souss-Massa region expects the route to bring tens of thousands of additional Canadian visitors annually. Canadian tourists are known for longer stays and higher spending per visit compared to other source markets.
What This Means for Agadir Tourism
Agadir's tourism ecosystem stands to benefit significantly:
- Hotel capacity: Agadir has over 30,000 hotel beds — the route directly feeds the city's beachfront hotels and resorts
- Regional spread: Visitors can combine Agadir with Taghazout (surfing, 25 min north), Taroudant (inland medina, 1.5h east), or Paradise Valley (mountain hikes, 45 min north-east)
- Year-round potential: The summer-season flight (Jun–Oct) matches Agadir's peak tourism window. Winter frequency has not been announced yet
